“Village Voices,” an interactive outdoor exhibition of 21 shadowboxes displayed throughout Greenwich Village, celebrates the lives of 20 trailblazing New Yorkers. Each box commemorates a site where a famed neighborhood figure — among them Jackson Pollock, James Baldwin, and activist Jane Jacobs — lived, or where historic events unfolded. Village residents John Leguizamo, Alec Baldwin, Edward Norton, among other notable individuals recorded insights about each figure, accessible via QR codes. PS New York was commissioned by Village Preservation to design the 21 boxes.
